How long does it get to get to the airport?

It takes about 20 to 30 minutes to get to the airport from the lodges in Cape Town.

Making advance bookings

If you need a transer from Cape Town Airport, book a transfer to your lodge at least two days in advance. That will give us time to confirm the booking. If you need a transfer from your lodge to the airport, make your booking at least the previous day.

Going to the airport to collect a friend.

If you want to meet a friend at the airport you have to pay 70% of the price of one person going to the airport plus the full price returning. Your friend will also pay the full fare.

Finding Backpacker Bus at the airport

Our driver will be waiting for you with a signboard with the Backpacker Bus logo, your name, the flight number and the backpacker lodge where you are going to on it. Come out of the terminal and look for the Backpacker Bus sign with your name on it. If you don’t see the sign, go to the Cape Town International Airport Information desk and ask them to call us.
